AM3 Technologies’ eNcapsulate service coordinates the migration of your physical environment into a virtual infrastructure. A P2V creates a virtual machine from physical server or computer and migrates it into your virtual infrastructure. Our ADIS methodology and skilled AM3 consultants ensure that the migration will be completed successfully.
The assessment of hardware and services is a key step in the Migration Planning phase. The assessment determines if a physical machine is a good candidate for virtualization.
AM3 focuses on:
- Migration Planning: Immediate and future goals, timeline, deadlines, and the project business and technical requirements
- An assessment of the candidate hardware and services. A capacity planning tool will provide the necessary data. If possible, metrics are taken for a minimum of 30 days or for an extended period of time to include high and low utilization periods
- Migration Strategy: Coordinated with the client team and includes outage and migration schedules, communications and more.
- Migration Implementation which is the process of migrating physical servers into your virtual infrastructure
